RocketGT does not collect your data. There is no account, and nothing you record is uploaded to us.
This is a description of how the app actually works, not a statement of intent. RocketGT has no backend for your data. There is no infrastructure on our side that could receive your rides even if we wanted it.
Your rides, speeds, distances, service records and settings are written to a database inside the app on your own device. They are not transmitted to us. You can delete all of it at any time from the Safety screen, and deletion is immediate and permanent, because there is no copy anywhere else.
RocketGT uses your location to measure speed and distance while you ride. With your permission it continues while the app is in the background, so a ride keeps recording with your phone in a pocket. Location is used to calculate your ride and is stored on your device. It is not sent to us, and it is not shared with any third party.
If you allow it, RocketGT writes each finished ride to Apple Health as a workout, and reads your heart rate during a ride so it can be shown alongside your speed. This data stays in Apple Health on your device under Apple's control. We do not receive it. You can refuse or revoke Health access at any time and the app carries on working without it.
If sync is enabled, your rides move between your own devices through your personal iCloud account. That data is held by Apple under your Apple Account, not by us, and we have no ability to read it.
The emergency check-in is the only feature that sends anything off your device.
If you turn it on, and you stop abruptly during a ride and do not respond to a prompt, RocketGT sends your location to the contact you chose. This happens only when you triggered it or did not cancel it, only to the person you nominated, and never to us. Turning the check-in off stops it entirely.
A small version of every photo in the bike catalogue is built into the app. The sharp, full-size version is downloaded from media.rocketgt.app when a bike appears on your screen, and then kept on your phone. That request carries nothing but the name of the photo. Like any download it reaches our hosting provider, Cloudflare, from your IP address; we keep no log of these requests and never connect them to you. With no signal, the app simply shows the built-in version.
Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. We receive only Apple's confirmation of whether a purchase is active, which carries no personal information.
RocketGT is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the date below changes with it. Any change that would cause data to leave your device will be stated plainly in the app before it happens, not buried here.
